Follow-up appointments are available to patients who have already done an initial assessment at Fluence Clinic.

If it’s been less than 12 months since your initial appointment (or your last 291 appointment at Fluence Clinic), you’ll be eligible for a 293 review. 293 review appointments are $550, with a Medicare rebate of $278.15. This means your out-of-pocket expense would be $271.85.

If it’s been more than 12 months since your last 291 appointment at Fluence Clinic, please note that you will not be eligible for a 293 review. You’d be eligible instead for a 291 review, which is $975, with a Medicare rebate of $444.90 available. This means your out-of-pocket expense would be $530.10.

To schedule a review appointment, we first require a referral from your GP. The referral must state that it’s for a follow-up appointment and include Medicare Item Code 293 (or 291 if it’s been more than 12 months since your last 291 appointment).

The wait times for follow-up appointments are currently between 2-6 weeks, depending on the availability of your chosen psychiatrist.

Once we’ve received your follow-up referral, we’ll contact you within 3 business days to begin the pre-appointment steps.

For a follow-up appointment, you’ll be asked to complete a short review questionnaire, which takes about five minutes. Once that questionnaire is completed and your payment has been received, we will send you a link to go online and book your appointment.
