Dr Karuna Taluja ia a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience across a broad range of mental health disciplines and has more than 10 years of experience of working in psychiatry. She has subspecialized in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and gained experience in the management of eating disorders, functional gut disorders and psychosomatic symptoms. She is passionate about mentoring young junior doctors who aspire to become psychiatrists and finds utmost joy in working in a formal role as a coordinator of training in public mental health service.
Dr Taluja obtained her medical degree in India and completed her fellowship training with the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). She also completed her advanced certificate for training in Consultation- Liaison psychiatry with the RANZCP. She has extensive experience of working in the inpatient wards, working in medical wards with patients with co-morbid mental illness, eating disorder units; working in the Community teams and in the Outpatient clinics.
