Dr Amol Deshmukh is qualified psychiatrist with subspecialty training in adults, children and adolescents. He has extensive experience of more than 20 years in provision of mental health care which includes working in public and private practice. He worked as clinical director of Northern (NSW) of child and adolescent services from 2021 to 2023. He is currently working as a clinical lead with CAMHS team at Tweed hospital and Northern NSW Safe-guards team.
Dr Deshmukh is qualified to treat all mental health, neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders in adults, children and adolescent. His areas of interest include mood disorders, ADHD, ASD, anxiety disorders, PTSD, personalities disorders. Dr Deshmukh is trained in providing trauma informed care and uses systems approach in his day-to-day clinical care. He is qualified to provide individual and family psychotherapy. Dr Deshmukh has a special interest in Indigenous mental health and has gained extensive experience in managing mental health conditions in indigenous population.
