A/Prof. Jayakody is a consultant psychiatrist and Associate Professor who has worked in the field of psychiatry since 2005. After obtaining a medical degree (MBBS), he completed his psychiatry training in the UK, obtaining membership (MRCPsych), fellowship (FRCPsych), and advanced training (CCT) in Adult and Addiction Psychiatry. He then completed psychiatry training in Australia, obtaining fellowship (FRANZCP). Additionally, he completed a Doctorate in Psychiatry (MD) and a Masters in Psychiatry (MSc) in the UK.
He is an Associate Professor (Affiliate) at IMPACT, School of Medicine, Deakin University, and has published several mental health research studies in international peer-reviewed journals.
