Dr Ramanathan (Ram) Ganapathy has around 25 years of experience in the field of psychiatry . He completed basic & specialist training in psychiatry in the UK. He was successful in obtaining his Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. He successfully completed his tenure as Clinical Director and Medical Superintendent at Blacktown Mental Health Services, WSLHD, Sydney in 2020.
In addition to his clinical work in psychiatry in the NHS (UK), Dr Ganapathy has undertaken extensive medico legal work, worked for regulatory authorities assisting in fitness practise proceedings, undertaking assessments for Autism and Adult ADHD in the UK. He was part of the team in setting up the Adult/Youth ADHD service in the NHS. He was the recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award in 2016 for his contributions to the field of psychiatric services in the NHS, UK.
His areas of interest include Adult ADHD, mood disorders, psychosis & schizophrenia, Neuropsychiatry, anxiety disorders, PTSD, Perinatal/Postnatal mental health disorders and OCD.
Dr Ganapathy promotes partnership with GPs, Allied Health Practitioners, Patients and their families to provide holistic care.
